I am Dr. Vanmathi S. M., a Pharm.D graduate from J.K.K. Nattaraja College of Pharmacy, affiliated with Dr. MGR Medical University. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor at School of Pharmacy, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth deemed to be University, where I apply innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
My Professional experience worked as Assistant professor for 1.7 years, my clinical experience includes an internship at the Government Headquarters Hospital in Erode, where I worked across multiple medical departments. During this time, I developed strong skills in patient counseling, clinical interventions, and problem-solving. My research journey began with a dissertation on the Qualitative Knowledge Assessment of Pregnant Women on Preterm Birth in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
I have authored more than five review papers and one original research publication, all indexed in Scopus, reflecting my commitment to scholarly excellence and evidence-based practice. I’ve had the opportunity to present my research at several national and international conferences, where my work has been well received and recognized with awards. I’m also committed to community health, having worked as a community pharmacist trainee and taken part in numerous medical camps. I am also qualified in the UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) for Ph.D. admission, further validating my research aptitude and academic preparedness.
Currently, I’m pursuing my Ph.D (part time - internal) at MGMARI, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Deemed University. My research focuses on Determination of Anti-Microbial Drug Resistance and Development of Therapeutic Regimen for Enterobacteriaceae Infections, under the guidance of Dr. C. Raj Kumar, Assistant Professor at MGMARI. I’m passionate about impactful clinical and pharmacological research and dedicated to making meaningful contributions to public health.
