My name 'Vinay' is ultimately derived from the Sanskrit 'Vinayaka' which was a spirit closely associated with Lord Ganesha & in fact this is an alternate name for him.
Vinayaka can be translated into English as something like 'obstacle', 'spiritual guide', 'instruction' or 'remover' and is also associated with the concept of a 'preceptor' or one who teaches through practical experience.
As such I see myself as someone who uses obstacles in my own life (ADHD, Arthritis, Anxiety etc) as a catalyst for spiritual change and personal development. I teach myself to remove obstacles in my life (successfully I might add) but also I am someone who teaches these methods to others from a place of experience.
In my life I have been given certain 'ailments' that when viewed from a spiritual paradigm are actually my very profound and effective spiritual teachers. It is with a tinge of sadness (from many years of pain I have endured) and great depth of feeling for the spiritual path that I engage in the practices I share with you all here on Udemy.
I teach from a point of view of 'I am not the Guru' and 'find your own path'. As such the courses I make do not dictate moral behaviors but instead give you practices with which anyone can use in order to find their own particular path and morality.
If I suggest or 'tell' you to do something in a course it is from a perspective of 'I find X to be an effective way to use this particular method'.
My ultimate point here is to explain that I seek to give you the techniques but the spiritual lessons are your own and specific to your path. The point in time with which we are at I think to teach otherwise is fraught with dangers of 'Ego'.
Thank you for reading and I will leave you with these...
we are always tested in some way that seems hard before we 'level up'. Be well. Keep going!
