Dr. Wayne S. Barry is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine and hospice care. Currently serving as the Team Physician for Gentiva Hospice in Volusia County, Fl, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Barry has dedicated over four decades to advancing patient care in various emergency settings. His career highlights include roles as Medical Director and staff physician in multiple urgent care and emergency facilities across Florida and Maryland and numerous US Army and Navy hospitals all across the country.  He has held significant leadership positions at renowned medical institutions including the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the University of Maryland School of Medicine, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and The University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Educated at Harvard College and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.   He completed a Medical Internship at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Medical Residency in Internal Medicine at Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, and an Infectious Disease Fellowship at the NIH.  Dr. Barry's expertise is complemented by numerous certifications, including Hospice Medical Director Certification, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Board Certified Emergency Physician, now retired.  He is actively involved in medical education, teaching physical diagnosis to medical students and participating in community health initiatives, including medical missions to Haiti. With a commitment to both clinical excellence and education, Dr. Barry continues to shape the future of medicine while providing compassionate care to his patients.
